Victims of crime have many different needs. With this in mind, a multi-agency Hub has been set up that supports victims of crime for as long as they need. This may be practical or emotional support, or just providing information. It may be by supporting victims of crime directly, or by linking in with other agencies who may be able to give the most appropriate service. All calls be dealt with initially by the team at Connect Gwent who are highly experienced victim care officers. They will undertake a full assessment of needs, and will provide a high level of support. If appropriate, and with permission, victims will be offered further support by specialist staff from a wide range of approved partner agencies, to ensure that victims receive the correct level of support to meet their needs.
