We are a specialist support service for people who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.

The support we offer consists of emotional and practical support, a freephone helpline, E support, 1-1 support by phone or face to face, specialist counselling, information and support resources.

We also campaign to raise awareness of and challenge misconceptions about sexual violence and abuse as well as delivering training and consent-based workshops to professional organisations, schools and universities.

SARSAS gave me the time to talk about my feelings and emotions. The counsellor was friendly, patient and compassionate. The service offered an assessment so they could best suit my needs at the time and this was regularly reviewed. The helpline was easy to use and services were offered at a convenient location.

I first approached SARSAS when things were getting tough and thought it was the right time for me to seek support. I recieved 1-1 support and from that I reported to the police. SARSAS, unlike a lot of other organisations provide support in other ways such as email support, helpline and they also phone regularly to see how things are going. Without the support from the SARSAS team I honestly don't think I would still be here right now. Each and every member of the team provide amazing support and go above and beyond to help people like myself get through the challenges they are facing no matter what path they choose to take. I cannot thank them enough for all they have helped me with.
