IMECE Women’s Centre is a woman only registered charity and company limited by guarantee, set up in 1982. Its aim is to empower Black, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BMER) women, particularly Turkish, Kurdish and Turkish Cypriot women and improve quality of their lives.
IMECE Women’s Centre provides the following support services:
Emotional Support, Practical Help, Counselling, Support Groups, Advocacy, Information, Helpline.
IMECE Women’s Centre works within the following crime types:
Domestic Violence/Abuse, Sexual Violence/Abuse, Hate Crime, Forced Marriage/'Honour-Based' Violence, Anti-Social Behaviour, General Offences - (Violence, Theft, etc.), Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
