Overview

Nottinghamshire Sexual Assault Referral Centre (The Topaz Centre) We also manage Nottinghamshire’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre (The Topaz Centre). This provides multi-agency support to survivors of a recent incident of rape or sexual violence, or those wishing to make a statement about a past event, in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

The service includes:

• A supportive environment for a forensic examination and statement taking
• A crisis worker to support during the examination and initial stages of reporting
• Emergency contraception and access to GUM clinic for emergency medical care and follow up
• Access to advice and support sessions for up to eight weeks, which can include referrals into other services.
• Young Person’s Support Coordinator provision

Young people aged 13-17 can only access these services via police referral.

Our services are inclusive and include wheelchair accessible premises and interpreter provision, where required.
